Russell L. Bowermaster, DDS, MS, and Co-Owner
Dr. Bowermaster earned a Doctor of Dental Surgery and a Master of Science in Physiology from Ohio State University. He was Chief Administrative Resident in Maxillofacial Surgery at the Ohio State University Hospital from 1964-1965. From 1962 to 1965, Dr. Bowermaster was a National Institute of Health Fellow.
In 1972, he became director for Columbia Federal Bank, where he served for 20 years. Dr. Bowermaster maintained a private practice in Maxillofacial Surgery, as well, in Hamilton, Ohio for 30 years. He is a Diplomat of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. He is also a Fellow of the American Association of Maxillofacial Surgery and of the American Association of Dental Anesthesiology. Further, he is a member of the American Dental Association, the Columbus Dental Society, and the Ohio Association of Oral Maxillofacial Surgeons. Dr. Bowermaster is a Past President of the Ohio Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons and the Keeley Dental Society.
Thomas H. Bob, Co-Owner
Mr. Bob has a venture banking background and a history of assisting financial institutions and investors by matching the financial needs of various clients with the investing needs of insurance companies, pension funds, and others.
Mr. Bob joined Biodontos full-time after acting as a financial advisor with UBS from 2004 to 2006 and from 2001 to 2004, he was the Executive Vice President of Development at Hy-Gene Biomedical Tissue Engineering Company. He previously served as President of T. Bob Investments, Inc., a registered broker-dealer concentrating on developing private risk investment opportunities on a transactional basis.
While forming T. Bob Investments, Mr. Bob was self-employed as a marketing consultant concentrating on marketing, money management, and financial planning for individuals. He has also acted as a Consultant for Fulton, Reid & Staples (Cleveland, Ohio), and The Chicago Corp. (Chicago, Illinois).
Mr. Bob held the position of the Partner-in-Charge of Sales and Marketing for Ball, Burge & Krause from 1970 to 1973. He has also been employed by McDonald & Company as a Securities Broker in Columbus, Ohio, and Office Manager in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. From 1961 to 1965, he served as senior accountnt with KPMG.
Mr. Bob received a Bachelor of Science degree from Ohio University, Athens, Ohio, in 1959.
Gary L. Racey, DDS, MS, Scientific Advisory Committee
Dr. Racey serves as Director of the Scientific Advisory Committee for Biodontos. He earned Doctor of Dental Surgery and Master of Science degrees from The Ohio State University College of Dentistry. He is a Diplomat of the American Board of Oral Maxillofacial Surgery and a Fellow of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, the American Association of Dental Anesthesiology, the American Association of Dental Consultants, the American College of Dentists (FACD), and the International College of Dentists (FICD).
Dr. Racey combines a distinguished academic career with private practice experience. He served as Professor of Oral-Maxillofacial Surgery and on the Graduate Faculty of Ohio State University. He was Director of Post-graduate and Residency Education and is a three-time recipient of the Resident's Award for Excellence in Postdoctoral Teaching. He served on the Attending Staff of University Hospitals, the Ohio State University Medical Center, The OhioHealth Hospital System, and as a Specialty Consultant to Nationwide Children's Research Hospital (Columbus), the Veterans Administration Medical Center (Dayton), the OSU Department of Athletics, the ADA Council on Dental Therapeutics, and the Commission on Dental Accreditation. He also served as Senior Specialty Consultant for Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield, a multi-state medical and dental health benefits provider.
